What Hard Water Does

Hard water causes two major problems in your home. First, the dissolved calcium and magnesium in hard water form a hard scale inside pipes, water heaters, dishwashers, and fixtures. This buildup restricts water flow, reduces heating efficiency, and can eventually clog pipes completely.
